Nemont Email and NCC

As of June 1st, 2025 Nemont telephone and internet service will be fully cut over to NCC. There is no effect on Montana customers – only those in North Dakota. The actual internet cut over SHOULD be seamless.

BUT: If you currently have an active Nemont email, that service will be deleted at that time. On the first of June, all your email will be deleted and no longer available. You have to do something before then if you have email stored at Nemont and want to keep it. Your Nemont address will disappear for good and you will have to set up another email address.

There are many options for other email services that do not cost money but you run the risk of losing all your existing emails, contacts, sent, and archived items if nothing is done before June 1st.

This problem can be solved in a few ways:

  1. Accept the loss of the email.

  2. Use a third party email program (Thunderbird, Outlook, etc) to save existing emails.

  3. Set up another email through another service. We recommend Gmail. Yahoo and Hotmail are just too weak.

  4. Manually forward existing emails you want to save to the new email address.

  5. Notify anyone you care about of your new address.

BCS will help with this issue, but it is not a problem that can be solved over the phone. If you would like help please call to set up a time to visit; when you call please be sure to have your existing Nemont email address information (Address & Password), any other existing email address info you would like to change to (If you have one already), and lots of patience.

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL MAY 30th.

As of 4/4/25 there is no plan for NCC to provide a replacement email.
